Therefore, we use Hardox 500 Tuf from SSAB in our products where possible. Hardox 500 Tuf has market-leading properties that combine very high wear resistance and toughness with low weight and thinner materials.
Thinner and stronger
Hardox 500 Tuf is a further development of Hardox 500 with several favourable properties. One example: For Götene's buckets, Hardox 500 Tuf means that the plates can be made up to 20 percent thinner, they contain fewer parts, not as many welded joints and that maintenance and service is easier.
Reduced emissions
Using Hardox 500 Tuf makes our products even more durable and robust, and at a lower weight. As a result, our end users are more efficient, have lower operating costs and can contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.

We want to be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability. These are two strategically important areas for us.
By using Hardox 500 Tuf, we are taking decisive steps in both these areas.
EXAMPLE
An excavator has been fitted with a larger Götene bucket made of Hardox® 500 Tuf.
The weight of the new bucket has been reduced by 110 kg/5%, which means that the operator can increase the bucket’s load by the equivalent weight. This results in fewer passes to move the same amount of material and lower carbon dioxide emissions.
